Watering the Seeds of Forgiveness

Watering the Seeds of Forgiveness
a four-day intensive, October 7,8,10,11
10:00-Noon
Kindness and compassion are innate to being human. Sadly, they can become obstructed due to causes and conditions and other karmic consequences. At the same time, even when we recognize these qualities in ourselves, they can be blocked by long-held resentments. Resentment toward others, resentment toward ourselves. As there is resentment toward us by others. Forgiveness is a way through resentment. It’s not always easy and can be a process that takes time.

This intensive class, held in a supportive and nurturing environment, will explore the nature of resentment and aversion we may have toward ourselves and others as a result of past actions. Through self-compassion and forgiveness, we can learn to let go of these harmful feelings, allowing our innate kindness to shine through.

We will dive into teachings around karma, and the impact of hiri (conscience)and ottapa (moral shame), known as the guardians of the world.

Each 2-hour session on Monday, October 7th, Tuesday, October 8th, Thursday, October 10th, Friday, October 11th, 2024, will include meditation and a dharma talk, followed by dharma discussion and inquiry.

Please note, the in-person class size for this program is limited to 15 students, please register early if interested.
